Beautifully tactile and rustic, yet modern ceiling wool lamp shade, Woolly is perfectly suited for a traditional or a contemporary home. A pair will flood your long dining table or your breakfast bar with a soft, gentle light.

Designed and made by Orains studio in Scotland, each lampshade is unique, processed and felt entirely by hand from the fleece of Scottish Black Face sheep, bred at the farms overlooking Loch Fyne, Scotland. In May or June, after a dry spell, the sheep are sheared. Then, the raw fleece is taken to the local studio where it is 'scoured' (washed and cleaned), using ecological soaps as they give the wool a fine feel. The studio also uses hot water heated by firewood only, having installed a biomass boiler specifically for this purpose.

Hand made to order. Lead time: 4-5 weeks.
This is a natural product and variations will occur in terms of shape, appearance and colour. Extra long cable available; please call us for details.
All lampshades must be used with low energy light bulbs and should be fitted by a qualified electrician. The lampshade fits E27 low energy light bulbs. Reducers are supplied.
Wool is inherently safe and naturally flame retardant. The wool lampshades have been tested and conform to BS EN 60598-1:2008, Amendment A11 (heat and fire retardancy).
